Tina M. Dufrene is an experienced emergency management and disaster recovery professional with over 10 years of experience with FEMA teams, contractors, and applicants on various disaster response initiatives. Tina has played a key role in assisting state and local governments, tribes, and nonprofits understand and access federal disaster relief funding for significant federally declared disasters.

She is currently serving as a Project Manager for the 2022 wildfire and subsequent monsoons that devastated the landscape and residents of New Mexico. This project aims to address the aftermath of the wildfires in New Mexico by developing strategies to meet immediate and long-term mitigation needs. Plexos is working to secure additional federal funding sources to support mitigation efforts in the affected areas.

Before joining Plexos, Tina was a FEMA PA Technical Specialist; she supported state and local governments, tribes, and nonprofits in applying for and receiving federal disaster relief funds. Her work with FEMA teams ensured compliance, accuracy, and the timely delivery of the Public Assistance processes, from project development to closeout. She also provided training, guidance, and technical assistance to applicants and stakeholders on disaster recovery policies and procedures.

Her project management skills are demonstrated through her leadership in disaster recovery programs, including the Puerto Rico Sheltering and Temporary Essential Power (STEP) Pilot Program and recovery initiatives in South Carolina, Alaska, Hawaii, Florida, and Louisiana. Tina is skilled at managing inspections, overseeing construction projects, and offering training and technical support to stakeholders, ensuring compliance and efficiency throughout the process.

Tina brings over 30 years of experience in accounting and operational management across various sectors, including construction. Her expertise in federal policies enhances her contributions to disaster recovery efforts and community resilience. Driven by a passion for aiding community recovery and ensuring the transparency and accountability of public funds, Tina excels in overseeing financial operations and team performance
