In our disaster recovery practice, change is constant and quickly responding to these changes with proper communications with stakeholders, documentation, and a robust change management system allows us to be extremely successful where others may fail. This same premise holds true to managing all of our projects from IT systems and infrastructure to construction management to litigation support to property and claims insurance to disaster recovery. All projects undergo the same project management processes which are based on Project Management Institute (PMI) guidelines. We also maintain PMI Project Management Professionals (PMP) on our team.
Prior to executing any contract, we assign a seasoned project management (PM) professional with experience in the area of work for the project. The PM conducts a kickoff meeting with selected project, prepares a project charter and then works with our project controls and scheduling departments to develop a detailed Scope, Schedule, and Budget based on the contractural requirements with our Client. Depending on the scope of our contract, we may also develop procurement, communications, and other plans. Any changes to the scope, schedule or budget are administered through the change control plan in alignment with all stakeholders.
Our projects are monitored by real-time online metrics to keep our teams on track to meet or exceed schedule and budget requirements while meeting all scope requirements. We use Primavera, Microsoft Project, Deltek, and other tools for monitoring actual performance and budget against the project baseline. For change management we use Jira and other systems. Our performance data is then displayed online for use by our teams and external stakeholders to monitor our performance, identify issues or bottlenecks, and to comply with reporting requirements such as Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Tableau and Microsoft Power BI are used in conjunction with our reporting data warehouses to display real-time performance data online.
