New Orleans COVID-19 Field Hospital Build Out

As part of a team, Plexos helped build out a 2,000-person field hospital in the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans to accommodate less fragile COVID-19 positive patients from area hospitals. The Plexos team rapidly deployed critical support services for the build out including the installation of over 250 cameras and more than 1,000 VOIP telephones. We are also supporting supply chain, staffing augmentation, emergency call center and logistics support services and solutions to safety care for patients.

State of Louisiana Unemployment Call Center Expansion

Within one week of project award, we stood up a 100+ person call center to assist the state of Louisiana with unemployment claims associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. At the request of the Louisiana State government, we hired local Louisiana residents who were trained to field calls for the call center working remotely within the State. We established all training and quality control measures and are using our Erlang C models to determine staffing needs and prepare to scale for increased call volume.

State of Florida Department of Economic Opportunity Call Center

The State of Florida Department of Economic Opportunity recently hired Plexos to stand up a call center to assist with COVID-19 pandemic-related unemployment claims. We rapidly hired local Florida residents who were trained to field calls for the call center remotely. The call center will initially utilize 1,000 employees working from their homes via our virtual call center software solution.

LA Governor’s Office of Homeland Security Inventory and Supply Chain Management

Within 48 hours of being hired by the Louisiana Governor’s Office of Homeland Security, Plexos provided full staffing and management of the supply warehouse at the COVID-19 overflow field hospital at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. Our team provides 24-hour inventory management and software support for the warehouse which is stocked with medical supplies for the 2,000-bed facility.

U.S.V.I. Emergency Home Repairs Program

The U.S. Virgin Islands experienced significant damage from Hurricanes Irma and Maria which pummeled the islands in September 2017. Plexos Group provided supportive services to the U.S. Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority under the $250 million Sheltering and Temporary Essential Power (STEP) Program funded by FEMA.

State of North Carolina, Hurricane Recovery

North Carolina experienced significant damage over the past few years from Hurricane Matthew in 2016 and Hurricane Florence in 2018. Plexos Group supported the State of North Carolina in various capacities on recovery programs funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

New York City Build-It-Back Program

Superstorm Sandy made landfall in 2012 resulting in more than $19 billion in property damage and economic losses to all five boroughs in New York City. Plexos Group supported the Mayor’s Office of Housing Recovery Operations and the $1.4 billion Build-It-Back program by providing program management, advisory support, policy guidance, and IT and reporting services.
